[TERRY, MS] The Terry Bulldogs defeated the Pearl River Central Blue Devils 42-8 Friday night to improve to their first 5-win season since 2018.
The Bulldogs dominated the game from the jump, scoring on their first five possessions before finally punting the ball in the third quarter. After struggling in the last three games, Ashton Fair excelled, throwing for 3 touchdowns while looking sharp.
Terry Coach Kris Thigpen approved of the effort. “We just wanted him to get his confidence back, and I think that happened tonight.”
The Bulldogs defense continued their success this season. Terry did not let the Blue Devils score until late in the fourth quarter, when the second string defenders were on the field.
“We were able to get the younger guys in, get them experience,” Thigpen said of their substitution choice.
The Bulldogs enter a bye week before heading down to Hattiesburg to take on the Tigers on October 27th down in Hattiesburg.
