[MILTON, FL] The PCA Paladins competed in West Florida Baptist Academy’s Conqueror Classic held at the Conquerors home gym, Nov. 16th-18th. This was a varsity only tournament, filled with exciting matchups and great competition. Both the 18u girls and boys came out on top, defending their titles from last year.
The 18u girls went up against the Santa Rosa Eagles to begin the tournament. The Paladins were able to get the win 41-30. Their next game was a hard-fought battle vs the Central Saints. Through much adversity, PCA got this win as well 46-42. This sent them to the championship game against the home team, the West Florida Conquerors. The Paladins made a late run to take the win 44-35. With this win, the girls were named the Conqueror Classic Champions.
The 18u boys started their tournament play against the Central Saints. PCA got the win 48-36. They then faced the Snook Eagles. Through a back-and-forth game, the Paladins got the win 42-34 with a late run. PCA found themselves in the championship once again vs the West Florida Conquerors. This was a hard-fought win, but the Paladins took this one 52-36, winning the Conquerors Classic for the second year in a row.
After a successful week in Florida, the Paladins had tough losses in both 18u boys and girls against the Oak Forest Jackets on Nov. 21st. They look forward to bounce back from these losses next week against the CHEF Patriots.
