Paladins Hit the Ground Running, Blow Past Forerunners 85-32

The PCA Paladins defeated the Hattiesburg Forerunners 85-32 on Saturday afternoon in Lacombe, LA.

The Paladins shot out of the gate with energy, going up by 30 points early, before cruising through the second half to the 53-point win.

The Forerunners were short-handed Saturday afternoon, as they played without senior forward Dima Mixon. This put Hattiesburg behind the 8-ball.

This big win holds PCA (4-4)[3-1] steady at the #2 seed going in to Christmas break, with their next ball game being against the PCS Bobcats.

Hattiesburg (4-4)[3-4] goes in to 2021 on not quite as much of a high note, but still in contention. They hold the #5 seed at the moment, but the Forerunners can hearken back to last year in 16u play, where they took the MSAHA crown despite having a #4 seed. Their next game is on Jan. 5 when they travel down to Laurel to take on the Laurel Knighthawks.
