The Laurel Knighthawks captured the MSAHA 14UB Championship after defeating the Muddy River Counselors 40-37 in the title game.
Laurel started off facing the Meridian Flyers, whom they defeated by one point, 25-24. They advanced to face the Muddy River Counselors, who they beat by nine. This advanced them to the Finals.
The Counselors re-emerged and the 14UB championship was a rematch of the 16UB Championship Game from last week, which Muddy River won.
The Knighthawks were pushed by Brayden Dry, who finished the game with 26 points for Laurel. Caleb Blankenship also provided stable ball handling for the Knighthawks throughout the game. Caleb Sanders had 21 points but it wasn’t quite enough as the Laurel Knighthawks were able to hold off the Muddy River Counselors 40-37.
