What can I say?
We took the loss…
Now, we could make excuses: Brayden Dry was playing with a stomach virus, the shots just weren’t falling, all that stuff, but what’s the point?
Thinking like that doesn’t help you improve.
It never feels good to take a loss, but sometimes that pain helps you grow, and that is my hope for the Hattiesburg Forerunners.
It’s still the first month of this basketball season, so the Forerunners have time to improve their game.
Hattiesburg is scheduled to play the Muddy River Counselors again on December 11th, but within that time frame the Forerunners will take on the LCS Lions (aka Lamar Christian School).
This is a good game for the Forerunners to have as it will expose them to another level of play, and the experience gained from this matchup will carry over into conference play.
Hattiesburg has a lot to prove to this conference, but if they are going to do that, they have a lot of work to do.
This is a companion article of Trellis’ Counselor Beat article, and so if you want a more detailed summary of this game, Trellis does that there.
