Games Throughout the State Postponed Due to Weather

Coming off a long Thanksgiving break, teams from around the state were set to compete again in the resuming of the season. The Scott County Flames had a game scheduled in Vicksburg against Agape Christian. The Meridian Flyers were set to host Russell Christian Academy in Hickory. The Muddy River Counselors were to go to Central Hinds to take on the Cougars.

There was even a conference matchup scheduled to take place. The Mt. Zion Lions and Laurel Knighthawks were set to clash in Laurel for 14U Boys, 18U Girls, and 16U Boys action.

There were serious weather concerns in multiple areas in Mississippi. There were multiple tornado warnings and many schools closed operations early. Due to these concerns, all the games were called off. The Mt. Zion-Laurel games are rescheduled for Jan. 2. The Counselors-Central Hinds ball games were rescheduled for Jan. 19. The Flyers and Flames games are on stand by on rescheduling.

The 2022-23 season will resume on Thursday, Dec. 1 with the most notable being the game of the week between the Muddy River Counselors and the Hattiesburg Forerunners.
