The Hattiesburg Forerunners defeated the Meridian Flyers Tuesday night in Hickory in a wild ending.
The Hattiesburg Forerunners and Meridian Flyers were both 2-2 in conference play heading into this game, where there was a three way tie in the standings including the Jackson Victors. This was a big game for both teams with big implications.
At the end, the Forerunners had a 60-59 lead and Flyers big man Isaiah was at the free throw line with two shots. He missed the first but made the second to tie it up at 60. The Forerunners immediately got the ball to Harrison Cook who took three dribbles before heaving a contested half-court shot. The ball went in, sealing a huge conference win for the Forerunners which they adequately celebrated. The video is below.
