[MONROE,LA] On December 1, the PCA Paladins headed up to Monroe, Louisiana to compete in the annual Bayou Classic, which is a tournament for all the Louisiana homeschool teams. This tournament is typically very competitive.
This year, there would only be four teams playing in it, with the PCA Paladins, the CHA Flame, the Shreveport Force, and the SWLA Knights competing. As the Paladins prepared for this tournament, they knew that there were some high expectations after their recent success and championship victory in the WFBA tournament.
The Paladins 18U boys team dominated the entire tournament with an average win margin of 20.5 points per game. They strolled their way into the championship and defeated the SWLA Knights with a final score of 62-41.
The 15U boys team carried on the pattern of blowing out their opponents, as they also were able to go undefeated and beat the Shreveport Force in the championship with a final score of 39-23.
As Alicia Keys once said, “This girl is on fire!!!” which totally encapsulates the way the 18U girls team played this tournament. Just like the boys team, the 18U girls were able to win every game including the championship game where they defeated the SWLA Knights with a final score of 47-23.
The 15u girls team also played extremely well this tournament. The girls finished with a record of 1-1 and tied for first place in the tournament!
The Paladins not only had a blast on the court but also outside of the gym. The team spent practically every spare moment hanging out together at either the hotel, El Paso, or Surge Entertainment.
