Flyers Run Out of Gas, Paladins Rally Past Meridian, Advance to MSAHA Finals

The #1 PCA Paladins defeated the #4 Meridian Flyers 69-58 to return to the MSAHA Finals for the first time since 2018.

The Flyers appeared they would keep the magic from their big victory over the Jackson Victors. They started opening up a 10 point lead. They maintained the lead but only led by six at halftime, 38-32.

Then the Paladins started cooking. Rashaad Rogers scored ten quick points at the beginning of the fourth, and Daniel Cooper got some strong buckets at the basket to propel the Paladins.

Nate Sherman of the Flyers began experiencing cramping in the second half which caused him to come out on two separate occasions.

PCA also succeeded on not allowing Elliot Tulip to get loose for the Flyers. They face -guarded him and though Tulip still got his points, they were able to outscore the Flyers, defeating them 69-58.

The Meridian Flyers are eliminated from the playoffs.

The PCA Paladins advance to the MSAHA Finals, where they will have to win two games over the Laurel Knighthawks to win the title.

That game will be live on TSJW Network starting at 12:30.
