PCA’s Hot Shooting Proves Too Much for Counselors in Paladins’ Win

The PCA Paladins defeated the Muddy River Counselors 83-52 Saturday morning on the road in Raymond, MS.

The Counselors jumped out to an early 7-4 lead, but turnovers and empty possessions caused the Counselors to fall behind and eventually out of the game. PCA went on a huge run in the third quarter behind hot shooting from Drew Boggs and Daniel Cooper.

Sun Michael Williams led the Counselors in scoring with 16 points. Despite missing numerous shots at the rim, Chris Purnell had a solid performance with 15 points and 14 rebounds.

The PCA Paladins (9-6)[7-1] immediately traveled up to Ridgeland to take on the No. 4 seeded Jackson Victors in which they won 71-68.

The Muddy River Counselors (2-5)[2-4] will travel down to Laurel to take on the No. 2 seeded Laurel Knighthawks on Tuesday night.
