The Muddy River Counselors-Mt. Zion Lions game scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 8 has been cancelled due to COVID-19 concerns.
The game was to be hosted by Mt. Zion in Mendenhall, MS. Due to a spike in cases in the church where the Lions play their home games, the game was cancelled with plans to reschedule.
The 2020-21 basketball season has been and will be heavily affected by coronavirus. But this is the first effect on the Counselors’ season.
The Muddy River Counselors are currently scheduled to next hit the floor against the Meridian Flyers on Jan. 5, which will most likely be the first home game for the Counselors.
The Counselors and Lions are scheduled to meet in Raymond on January 21.
